The
Spring 2009 semester was a HUGE success for the first structured Capital
City Internship Program. 35 CMU students, from a variety of
undergraduate and graduate disciplines, interned 2 days per week
while managing a full load of CMU courses. 27 of these students took
advantage of CMU-sponsored transportation, enabling them to intern
without any cost to them. Aside from developing professional skills
and experiences from the internship, these 35 students had the
opportunity to network with professionals during brown-bag lunches
and a mentorship program. As previously mentioned, a variety of
disciplines were represented this semester in the Capital. These
majors consisted of:
Business Administration
Communication
Economics
English
Environmental Science
Finance
History
Human Resources
Industrial Management
Information Technology
International Business
Journalism
Law
Marketing
Philosophy
Political Science
Public Administration
Social Studies
